Items Returned To Burglary Victims
Police in the San Gabriel Valley have returned a number of "irreplaceable items" to ten local families whose homes had been burglarized. The stolen items included wedding rings, family heirlooms, and other objects of personal and monetary value.
The San Gabriel Valley Tribune said their return was due to the bust of an "alleged large-scale burglary ring" that was suspected in more than 20 San Gabriel Valley break-ins. A department spokesperson said that "hundreds of thousands of dollars of goods" were recovered.
Among the items recovered, said police, was a stolen video camera that one of the suspects accidently turned on during the crime. Covina Police Department Sgt. Greg Peterson said that the recording will be used as evidence during prosecution.
